Shower Thoughts about Existence and Reality

When I take showers, my thinking mode switches from intense and specific, to calm and broad, and it links seemingly, unrelated things together, *fast* from reality to our existence, philosophical zombies to morals. Free Will to Religions, I will explain them all *slow* with 400 seconds.

**slow** If we look at our hands we see our hands. We look at the air, we don’t see the air, but we know the air exists. We look at the mirror, and we see a human, but we know that a human is just a reflection. If we can deduce that our vision is not reliable, maybe everything we see is just a mirror reflection, and every reflection is real.

**fast** Speaking of real, we know that we are real, but how would you know if your friends are real? They can react, they can speak, they can laugh, they can cry, but so does an advanced robot. Without knowing their thought process, your friends, your family, your teachers, your loved ones- maybe not, you don’t have a- anything, people around you, how can you be sure that they are not robots acting exactly like a “human” that you understand it?

**normal** Speaking of humans, what defines a human? If a human is a thing that can stand on two legs with two eyes and two hands, an ape or a kangaroo can be a human. If we define humans as things that can speak human languages, then a parrot is a human. We know so well what is and what isn’t a human, yet when we try to define them, it’s almost impossible.
